Young's Literal Translation

King James Version
Also
you --
being
dead in the
trespasses and the
sins ,
And
you hath
he
quickened,
who
were
dead in trespasses and sins ;
in which
once
ye did
walk
according to the age
of this world, according to the ruler
of the authority
of the air, of
the spirit that is
now working
in the sons
of disobedience ,
Wherein
in time
past
ye walked
according to the course
of this world, according to the prince
of the power
of the air, the spirit that now worketh
in the children
of disobedience :
among whom also we all did
walk
once
in the desires
of our flesh, doing
the wishes
of the flesh and of the thoughts,
and were by nature children of wrath --
as also
the
others ,
Among whom also we all had
our
conversation
in times
past
in
the lusts
of our flesh, fulfilling
the desires
of the flesh and of the mind;
and were by nature the
children of wrath ,
even
as others .
and
God, being
rich in kindness
, because
of
His great love with
which
He loved us,
But
God, who
is
rich in mercy
, for
his great love wherewith
he loved us,
even being
dead in the
trespasses
, did
make
us to
live
together with the
Christ, (by grace ye are having
been
saved ,
)
Even when
we
were
dead in sins
, hath
quickened
us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved ;
)
and did
raise
`
us '
up together, and did
seat
`
us '
together in the
heavenly `
places '
in Christ Jesus ,
And hath
raised
us up together, and made
us sit
together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus :
that He
might
show,
in the ages that
are
coming,
the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness toward us in
Christ Jesus ,
That in the ages to
come
he
might
shew
the exceeding riches of his grace in his
kindness toward us through
Christ Jesus .
for by grace ye
are having
been
saved ,
through faith ,
and this
not of you
--
of
God
the gift ,
For by grace are ye
saved through faith ;
and that
not of yourselves:
it
is
the gift of
God:
not of works, that
no
one
may
boast ;
Not of works, lest
any
man
should
boast .
for of
Him
we are workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to
good works, which God did
before prepare,
that in
them
we may
walk.
For we are his
workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto
good works, which God hath
before ordained
that we should
walk in
them
.
Wherefore ,
remember, that ye `were'
once
the
nations
in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that called Circumcision in the flesh made by hands ,
Wherefore remember, that ye being
in time
past
Gentiles
in
the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which
is
called the
Circumcision in the flesh made by hands ;
that ye
were
at that time apart
from
Christ, having
been
alienated
from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to
the covenants of the
promise, having no hope, and without God ,
in the world ;
That at that time ye
were
without
Christ, being
aliens
from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from
the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world :
and
now ,
in Christ Jesus ,
ye being
once
afar
off became
nigh in
the blood of the
Christ ,
But
now in Christ Jesus ye who
sometimes
were
far
off are
made
nigh by
the blood of Christ .
for he is our peace, who did
make
both one, and the middle wall of the
enclosure
did
break
down,
For he is our peace, who hath
made
both one, and hath
broken
down
the middle wall of partition
between
us;
the
enmity
in his flesh, the law of the
commands
in ordinances having
done
away,
that
the
two
he
might
create
in himself into
one new man, making peace ,
Having
abolished
in his flesh the
enmity
, even
the law of commandments
contained
in ordinances ;
for
to
make
in himself of
twain
one new man, so
making peace ;
and might reconcile both in one body to
God
through
the cross, having slain the enmity in
it,
And that
he
might reconcile both unto
God
in one body by
the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
and having
come,
he
did
proclaim
good
news
--
peace to you --
the
far-
off and the
nigh ,
And came
and
preached
peace to you which
were
afar
off ,
and to
them
that
were
nigh .
because
through him we have the
access --
we
both
--
in
one Spirit unto the Father.
For
through him we both
have access by
one Spirit unto the Father.
Then,
therefore ,
ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens
of
the saints, and of the household of God ,
Now
therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens
with
the saints, and of the household of God ;
being
built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being chief corner -`
stone ',
And
are
built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the
chief corner stone ;
in whom all the building fitly framed together doth
increase
to
an holy sanctuary
in the Lord ,
In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth
unto
an holy temple
in the Lord :
in whom also
ye are builded together ,
for a
habitation of God in
the Spirit.
In whom ye also
are builded together for an
habitation of God through
the Spirit.
