must
carefully
follow
every
commandment
I am
giving
you
today
, so
that you
may live and multiply, and enter
and possess the land that
the LORD swore
to
give
your fathers.
All
the
commandments
which
I command
thee
this
day
shall
ye
observe
to
do
, that ye
may live ,
and multiply, and go
in
and possess the land which
the LORD sware
unto
your fathers.
Remember that
these
forty
years
the LORD your
God led you
all
the
way
in the wilderness, so
that
He
might
humble you
and test
you
in
order
to know what was in your
heart, whether or
not
you
would
keep His commandments.
And
thou
shalt
remember all
the way
which
the
LORD thy
God led thee
these
forty
years
in the wilderness, to
humble thee,
and to prove
thee,
to
know what was in thine
heart, whether thou
wouldest
keep his commandments ,
or
no
.
He humbled you
, and in
your
hunger He
gave
you
manna to
eat
, which neither you
nor
your
fathers had
known,
so
that you
might understand
that man does
not live on
bread alone
, but on
every word that comes
from
the mouth of the LORD.
And
he humbled thee
, and suffered
thee
to
hunger ,
and
fed
thee
with
manna, which thou
knewest
not,
neither did
thy
fathers know;
that he
might make
thee
know
that man doth
not live by
bread only
, but by
every word that proceedeth
out
of
the mouth of the LORD doth
man
live
.
Your
clothing
did
not wear
out
and
your
feet
did not
swell during
these forty years.
Thy
raiment
waxed
not old
upon
thee,
neither
did thy
foot
swell ,
these forty years.
So
know
in your
heart that just
as a man disciplines
his son, so the LORD your
God disciplines
you
.
Thou
shalt
also
consider
in thine
heart ,
that ,
as a man chasteneth
his son, so the LORD thy
God chasteneth
thee
.
Therefore you
shall
keep the commandments of the LORD your
God, walking
in His ways and fearing
Him.
Therefore thou
shalt
keep the commandments of the LORD thy
God, to
walk
in his ways ,
and to
fear
him.
For the LORD your
God is
bringing
you
into a good land, a land of brooks and
fountains and springs
that flow
through
the
valleys and hills;
For the LORD thy
God bringeth
thee
into a good land, a land of brooks of
water,
of
fountains and depths
that spring
out
of
valleys and hills;
a land of wheat, barley, vines, fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of olive
oil and honey;
A land of wheat, and
barley, and
vines, and
fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive,
and honey;
a land where
you
will
eat food
without scarcity
, where
you
will
lack nothing
; a land whose rocks
are iron and whose hills are
ready
to
be
mined
for
copper
.
A land wherein
thou
shalt
eat bread
without scarceness
, thou
shalt
not
lack any
thing
in
it
; a land whose stones
are iron ,
and out
of
whose hills thou
mayest
dig
brass
.
When you
eat
and are
satisfied
, you
are
to
bless the LORD your
God for the good land that
He has
given you
.
When thou
hast
eaten
and art
full
, then
thou
shalt
bless the LORD thy
God for the good land which
he hath
given thee
.
Be
careful
not
to
forget the LORD your
God by
failing
to
keep
His commandments and ordinances
and statutes, which I am
giving
you
this day .
Beware
that
thou
forget not
the LORD thy
God ,
in
not
keeping
his commandments ,
and his
judgments,
and his
statutes, which I command
thee
this day :
Otherwise,
when you
eat
and are
satisfied
, when
you
build
fine
houses in
which
to
dwell
,
Lest
when thou
hast
eaten
and art
full
, and
hast
built
goodly
houses, and
dwelt
therein;
and when your
herds and flocks grow
large
and your
silver and gold increase
and all that you
have
is multiplied ,
And when thy
herds and thy
flocks multiply,
and thy
silver and thy
gold is
multiplied,
and all that thou
hast
is multiplied ;
then your
heart will
become
proud
, and you
will
forget the LORD your
God who
brought you
out of the land of Egypt, out
of
the house of slavery.
Then thine
heart be
lifted
up
, and thou
forget the LORD thy
God ,
which
brought thee
forth
out of the land of Egypt, from
the house of bondage;
He
led you
through the
vast
and terrifying
wilderness with
its
venomous
snakes
and scorpions, a
thirsty
and waterless
land.
He
brought you
water from
the rock of flint .
Who
led thee
through that
great
and terrible
wilderness ,
wherein
were
fiery
serpents,
and scorpions, and drought,
where
there
was
no
water;
who
brought thee
forth
water out
of
the rock of flint ;
He
fed you
in the wilderness with manna that
your
fathers had
not known
, in
order
to
humble you
and
test
you
, so
that in
the
end
He might cause
you
to prosper.
Who
fed thee
in the wilderness with manna ,
which
thy
fathers knew
not, that
he
might
humble thee
, and
that he might prove
thee,
to do
thee
good
at
thy
latter
end;
You
might
say in your
heart, “The
power and strength
of my
hands
have
made
this wealth for
me
. ”
And
thou
say in thine
heart, My
power and the
might
of mine
hand
hath
gotten
me
this wealth.
But remember that
it
is
the LORD your
God who
gives
you
the
power to gain
wealth, in
order
to
confirm
His covenant that
He swore
to
your
fathers even
to
this day.
But thou
shalt
remember the LORD thy
God :
for
it
is
he
that
giveth
thee
power to get
wealth, that
he
may
establish
his covenant which
he sware
unto
thy
fathers ,
as
it
is
this day.
If you
ever
forget the LORD your
God and go
after other gods to
worship
and bow
down
to
them, I testify against you today
that you
will
surely perish.
And
it
shall
be,
if thou
do
at
all
forget the LORD thy
God ,
and walk
after other gods ,
and serve
them, and
worship
them,
I testify against you this
day
that ye
shall
surely perish.
Like
the nations that
the LORD has
destroyed
before you
, so you
will
perish if
you
do
not obey
the LORD your God.
As
the nations which
the LORD destroyeth
before your
face
, so shall
ye
perish ;
because
ye
would
not be
obedient
unto
the voice
of
the
LORD your God.
