All
the
commandment which
I command
thee
this
day
shall
ye
observe
to
do
, that ye
may live ,
and multiply, and go
in
and possess the land which
Jehovah
sware
unto
your fathers.
You
must
carefully
follow
every
commandment I am
giving
you
today
, so
that you
may live and multiply, and enter
and possess the land that
the
LORD
swore
to
give
your fathers.
And
thou
shalt
remember all
the
way
which
Jehovah
thy
God
hath
led
thee
these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble thee,
to
prove
thee,
to know what was in thy
heart, whether thou
wouldest
keep his commandments ,
or
not
.
Remember that
these forty years the
LORD
your
God
led
you
all
the
way
in the wilderness, so
that He might humble you
and
test
you
in
order
to know what was in your
heart, whether or
not
you
would
keep His commandments.
And
he humbled thee
, and suffered
thee
to
hunger ,
and
fed
thee
with
manna, which thou
knewest
not,
neither did
thy
fathers know;
that he
might make
thee
know
that man doth
not live by
bread only
, but by
everything
that proceedeth
out
of
the mouth of Jehovah
doth
man
live
.
He humbled you
, and in
your
hunger He
gave
you
manna to
eat
, which neither you
nor
your
fathers had
known,
so
that you
might understand
that man does
not live on
bread alone
, but on
every
word
that comes
from
the mouth of the
LORD
.
Thy
raiment
waxed
not old
upon
thee,
neither
did thy
foot
swell ,
these forty years.
Your
clothing
did
not wear
out
and
your
feet
did not
swell during
these forty years.
And
thou
shalt
consider
in thy
heart ,
that ,
as a man chasteneth
his son, so Jehovah
thy
God chasteneth
thee
.
So
know
in your
heart that just
as a man disciplines
his son, so the
LORD
your
God disciplines
you
.
And
thou
shalt
keep the commandments of Jehovah
thy
God, to
walk
in his ways ,
and to
fear
him.
Therefore
you
shall
keep the commandments of the
LORD
your
God, walking
in His ways and fearing
Him.
For Jehovah
thy
God bringeth
thee
into a good land, a land of brooks of
water,
of
fountains and springs ,
flowing
forth
in
valleys and hills;
For the
LORD
your
God is
bringing
you
into a good land, a land of brooks and
fountains and springs that
flow
through
the
valleys and hills;
a land of wheat and
barley, and
vines and
fig -
trees and pomegranates; a land of olive -trees
and honey;
a land of wheat ,
barley, vines ,
fig trees ,
and pomegranates; a land of olive oil
and honey;
a land wherein
thou
shalt
eat bread
without scarceness
, thou
shalt
not
lack anything
in
it
; a land whose stones
are iron ,
and out
of
whose hills thou
mayest
dig
copper.
a land where
you
will
eat food
without scarcity
, where
you
will
lack nothing
; a land whose rocks
are iron and whose hills are
ready
to
be
mined
for
copper.
And
thou
shalt
eat and be
full
, and
thou
shalt
bless Jehovah
thy
God for the good land which
he hath
given thee
.
When
you
eat and are
satisfied
, you
are
to
bless the
LORD
your
God for the good land that
He has
given you
.
Beware
lest
thou
forget Jehovah
thy
God ,
in
not
keeping
his commandments ,
and his
ordinances ,
and his
statutes, which I command
thee
this day :
Be
careful
not
to
forget the
LORD
your
God by
failing
to
keep
His commandments and ordinances and statutes, which I am
giving
you
this day .
lest
, when thou
hast
eaten
and art
full
, and
hast
built
goodly
houses, and
dwelt
therein;
Otherwise
, when you
eat
and are
satisfied
, when
you
build
fine
houses in
which
to
dwell
,
and when thy
herds and thy
flocks multiply,
and thy
silver and thy
gold is
multiplied,
and all that thou
hast
is multiplied ;
and when your
herds and flocks grow
large
and your
silver and gold increase
and all that you
have
is multiplied ,
then thy
heart be
lifted
up
, and thou
forget Jehovah
thy
God ,
who brought thee
forth
out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage;
then your
heart will
become
proud
, and you
will
forget the
LORD
your
God who brought you
out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
who
led thee
through the great
and terrible
wilderness ,
`wherein
were'
fiery
serpents
and scorpions, and
thirsty ground
where
was
no
water;
who
brought thee
forth
water out
of
the rock of flint ;
He
led you
through the vast
and terrifying
wilderness with
its
venomous
snakes
and scorpions, a
thirsty and
waterless
land.
He
brought you
water from
the rock of flint .
who
fed thee
in the wilderness with manna ,
which
thy
fathers knew
not ;
that
he
might
humble
thee
, and that he might prove
thee,
to do
thee
good
at
thy
latter
end:
He
fed you
in the wilderness with manna that
your
fathers had
not known
, in
order
to
humble
you
and test
you,
so
that in
the
end
He might cause
you
to prosper.
and
`lest'
thou
say in thy
heart, My
power and the
might
of my hand
hath
gotten
me
this wealth.
You
might
say in your
heart, “The
power and strength
of my hands
have
made
this wealth for
me
. ”
But thou
shalt
remember Jehovah
thy
God,
for
it is he
that
giveth
thee
power to get
wealth ;
that
he
may
establish
his covenant which
he sware
unto
thy
fathers ,
as
at
this day.
But remember that
it is the
LORD
your
God
who
gives
you
the
power to gain
wealth ,
in
order
to
confirm
His covenant that
He swore
to
your
fathers even
to
this day.
And
it
shall
be,
if thou
shalt
forget Jehovah
thy
God ,
and walk
after other gods ,
and
serve
them,
and
worship them, I testify against you this
day
that ye
shall
surely perish.
If you
ever
forget the
LORD
your
God and go
after other gods to
worship and
bow
down
to
them, I testify against you today
that you
will
surely perish.
As
the nations that Jehovah
maketh
to
perish
before you, so shall
ye
perish ;
because
ye
would
not hearken
unto
the voice
of
Jehovah
your God.
Like
the nations that the
LORD
has
destroyed
before you, so you
will
perish if
you
do
not obey
the LORD
your God.
