Now
this
is
the
commandment,
the statutes ,
and the
ordinances ,
which
Jehovah
your God commanded
to teach you ,
that
ye
might
do
them
in the land whither
ye
go
over
to possess it;
These
are
the commandments
and
statutes and ordinances that
the
LORD
your God has
instructed
me
to teach you to
follow
in the land that
you
are
about
to enter
and
possess ,
that thou
mightest
fear Jehovah
thy
God ,
to
keep
all his statutes and his
commandments ,
which
I command
thee,
thou,
and
thy
son,
and
thy
son's
son
, all
the
days
of
thy
life;
and that thy
days may be prolonged.
so
that you
and
your
children
and
grandchildren
may
fear the
LORD
your
God all the
days
of
your
lives
by
keeping
all
His statutes and commandments that
I give
you
, and so
that your
days may be prolonged.
Hear therefore
, O Israel, and observe
to do
it;
that it
may be
well
with thee,
and that
ye
may
increase
mightily
, as Jehovah
, the God of thy
fathers, hath
promised unto
thee,
in
a
land
flowing
with
milk
and
honey
.
Hear, O Israel, and be
careful
to observe
them,
so
that you
may prosper
and
multiply
greatly
in
a
land
flowing
with milk
and honey
, just
as the
LORD
, the God of your
fathers, has
promised you
.
Hear, O Israel: Jehovah
our God is one Jehovah:
Hear, O Israel: The
LORD
our God ,
the
LORD
is One .
and thou
shalt
love Jehovah
thy
God with all thy
heart ,
and with all thy
soul ,
and with all thy
might
.
And you
shall
love the
LORD
your
God with all your
heart and with all your
soul and with all your
strength
.
And
these words ,
which
I command
thee
this
day,
shall
be upon thy
heart;
These words I am
commanding
you
today
are
to
be upon your
hearts.
and thou
shalt
teach them diligently unto
thy
children ,
and shalt
talk
of them when thou
sittest
in
thy
house,
and when thou
walkest
by
the way
, and
when thou
liest
down ,
and when thou
risest
up.
And you
shall
teach them diligently to
your
children and speak
of them when you
sit
at
home
and when you
walk
along
the road
, when you
lie
down and when you
get
up.
And thou
shalt
bind them for
a
sign
upon
thy
hand,
and
they
shall
be
for
frontlets
between
thine
eyes
.
Tie
them
as
reminders
on
your
hands
and bind them on
your
foreheads
.
And
thou
shalt
write them upon
the door-posts
of thy
house,
and upon
thy
gates.
Write them on
the doorposts
of your
houses
and on
your
gates.
And it
shall
be,
when Jehovah
thy
God shall
bring
thee
into the land which
he sware
unto
thy
fathers, to Abraham, to
Isaac, and to
Jacob, to
give thee,
great and goodly
cities ,
which
thou
buildest
not,
And when the
LORD
your
God brings
you
into the land He swore
to
your
fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, that
He
would
give you—a
land
with
great and splendid
cities that
you
did
not build
,
and
houses full of all
good things,
which thou
filledst
not ,
and
cisterns
hewn
out
, which
thou
hewedst
not, vineyards and olive -trees,
which
thou
plantedst
not ,
and thou
shalt
eat and be
full;
with
houses full of every
good thing
with
which you
did
not fill
them
, with
wells
that
you
did
not dig
, and
with
vineyards and olive groves
that
you
did
not plant—
and when
you
eat and are
satisfied,
then
beware
lest
thou
forget Jehovah,
who brought thee
forth
out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage
.
be
careful
not
to
forget the
LORD
who brought you
out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery
.
Thou
shalt
fear Jehovah
thy
God ;
and
him
shalt
thou
serve, and shalt
swear
by
his name.
Fear the
LORD
your
God ,
serve Him
only
, and take
your
oaths
in
His name.
Ye
shall
not go
after
other gods, of
the gods of the peoples that
are
round
about
you ;
Do
not follow
other gods, the gods of the peoples around
you .
for Jehovah
thy
God
in
the midst
of
thee
is a jealous God ;
lest
the anger of Jehovah
thy
God be kindled against thee
, and he destroy
thee
from
off the face of the earth.
For the LORD
your
God,
who
is among
you,
is
a jealous God .
Otherwise
the anger of the
LORD
your
God will
be kindled against you
, and He will
wipe
you
off the face of the earth.
Ye
shall
not tempt
Jehovah
your God ,
as ye
tempted
him in
Massah.
Do
not test
the
LORD
your God as you
tested
Him at
Massah.
Ye
shall
diligently keep the commandments of Jehovah
your God ,
and his
testimonies ,
and his
statutes ,
which
he hath
commanded
thee
.
You
are
to
diligently keep the commandments of the
LORD
your God and the
testimonies and statutes He has
given
you
.
And
thou
shalt
do that
which
is right and good in the sight of Jehovah;
that it may be well with thee,
and that thou
mayest
go
in
and possess the good land which
Jehovah
sware
unto
thy
fathers,
Do what
is right and good in the sight of the
LORD,
so
that it may be well with you
and that you
may
enter
and possess the good land that
the
LORD
your
God
swore
to
give
your
fathers,
to
thrust
out all thine
enemies from
before thee
, as Jehovah
hath
spoken
.
driving
out all your
enemies before you
, as the
LORD
has
said
.
When
thy
son
asketh
thee
in time
to
come
, saying
, What mean
the testimonies,
and
the statutes ,
and the
ordinances ,
which
Jehovah
our God hath
commanded you?
In the
future
, when
your
son
asks
, “
What is
the meaning
of
the decrees
and
statutes and ordinances that
the
LORD
our God has
commanded you? ”
then thou
shalt
say
unto
thy
son
, We were Pharaoh's
bondmen
in Egypt :
and
Jehovah
brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand ;
then you
are
to
tell
him
, “
We were slaves
of
Pharaoh
in Egypt ,
but
the
LORD
brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand .
and Jehovah
showed
signs and wonders ,
great
and
sore,
upon
Egypt, upon
Pharaoh, and upon
all his house,
before
our
eyes;
Before
our
eyes
the
LORD
inflicted
great
and devastating
signs and wonders on
Egypt, on
Pharaoh, and on
all his household.
and
he brought us out from thence,
that
he
might
bring
us in ,
to
give us the land which
he sware
unto
our fathers.
But
He brought us out from there
to
lead
us in and
give us the land that
He had
sworn
to
our fathers.
And Jehovah
commanded us to do
all these statutes ,
to fear Jehovah
our God, for
our
good
always,
that he
might
preserve
us
alive
, as at
this day.
And the
LORD
commanded us to observe
all these statutes and
to fear the
LORD
our God, that we
may
always
be
prosperous
and
preserved
, as we
are
to
this day.
And it
shall
be
righteousness
unto
us,
if we observe
to do
all
this
commandment
before Jehovah
our God, as he hath
commanded us.
And if we are
careful
to observe
every
one
of
these
commandments
before the
LORD
our God, as He has
commanded us ,
then
that
will
be
our
righteousness
. ”
