When you
enter
the land that
the
LORD
your
God is
giving
you
as
an inheritance, and you
take
possession
of
it and settle
in
it
,
And
it
shall
be,
when thou
art
come
in
unto
the land which
Jehovah
thy
God giveth
thee
for
an inheritance, and possessest
it ,
and dwellest
therein
,
you
are
to
take some
of the firstfruits
of all your
produce
from
the soil
of the land that the
LORD
your
God is
giving
you
and put them
in a basket .
Then
go to
the place the
LORD
your
God will
choose as
a
dwelling
for
His Name ,
that
thou
shalt
take of the first
of all the fruit
of the ground,
which
thou
shalt
bring
in
from
thy
land that Jehovah
thy
God giveth
thee;
and thou
shalt
put it
in a basket ,
and
shalt
go unto
the place which
Jehovah
thy
God shall
choose ,
to
cause
his name to
dwell
there.
to
the priest who
is
serving
at
that time
, and say to
him, “
I declare
today
to
the
LORD
your
God that I have
entered
the land that
the
LORD
swore
to
our fathers to give us. ”
And
thou
shalt
come
unto
the priest that shall
be
in
those
days
, and say unto
him, I profess
this
day
unto
Jehovah
thy
God ,
that I am
come
unto
the land which
Jehovah
sware
unto
our fathers to give us.
Then
the priest shall take the basket from
your
hands
and place
it before the altar of the
LORD
your
God ,
And
the priest shall take the basket out
of
thy
hand,
and set
it down
before the altar of Jehovah
thy
God .
and you
are
to
declare
before the
LORD
your
God, “
My father was
a
wandering
Aramean,
and he went down to
Egypt few in number and
lived
there
and became a great
nation, mighty and numerous
.
And thou
shalt
answer
and
say
before Jehovah
thy
God, A
Syrian
ready
to
perish
was
my father ;
and he went down into
Egypt ,
and
sojourned
there,
few in number ;
and he
became there
a nation, great,
mighty ,
and populous
.
But
the Egyptians mistreated
us and afflicted us, putting
us to
hard labor.
And
the Egyptians dealt
ill
with
us ,
and afflicted us, and
laid
upon
us hard bondage:
So
we called
out
to
the
LORD
, the God of our fathers ;
and the
LORD
heard our voice and saw our affliction, toil, and oppression .
and
we cried
unto
Jehovah
, the God of our fathers ,
and Jehovah
heard our voice ,
and saw our affliction, and
our
toil, and our
oppression ;
Then
the
LORD
brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, with great terror
, signs, and wonders .
and
Jehovah
brought us forth
out of Egypt with a mighty hand ,
and with
an outstretched arm, and
with great terribleness
, and
with
signs, and with
wonders ;
And He brought us to
this place and gave
us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
and he hath
brought us into
this place ,
and hath
given
us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits
of the land
that
You
, O LORD
, have
given me. ”
Then
you
are
to
place
the
basket
before the
LORD
your
God and bow
down
before Him.
And now, behold, I have brought the first
of the fruit
of
the
ground
, which
thou,
O Jehovah
, hast
given me. And
thou
shalt
set
it
down
before Jehovah
thy
God ,
and worship
before Jehovah
thy
God:
So
you
shall
rejoice —you
, the Levite, and the foreigner
dwelling
among
you—
in all
the good
things
the
LORD
your
God
has
given
to
you
and
your
household
.
and
thou
shalt
rejoice in
all
the
good
which
Jehovah
thy
God
hath
given
unto
thee
, and
unto
thy
house,
thou,
and
the Levite, and the sojourner
that
is
in the midst
of
thee
.
When you
have
finished
laying
aside
a
tenth
of all your
produce
in the third year, the year of the
tithe
, you
are
to
give it to
the Levite, the foreigner
, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat and be filled within
your
gates
.
When thou
hast
made
an
end
of tithing
all the
tithe
of
thine
increase
in the third year, which
is
the year of tithing
, then
thou
shalt
give it unto
the Levite, to
the sojourner
, to
the fatherless, and to
the widow, that they may eat within
thy
gates,
and be filled.
Then
you
shall
declare
in
the
presence
of
the
LORD
your
God, “
I have removed
from
my house the
sacred
portion
and have given it
to
the Levite, the foreigner
, the fatherless, and the widow, according to all the
commandments
You
have
given
me .
I have not transgressed or
forgotten
Your
commandments .
And
thou
shalt
say
before
Jehovah
thy
God, I have put
away
the
hallowed
things
out
of
my house ,
and also
have given them
unto
the Levite, and
unto
the sojourner
, to
the fatherless, and to
the widow, according to all thy
commandment
which
thou
hast
commanded
me :
I have not transgressed any
of
thy
commandments ,
neither
have
I
forgotten
them:
I have not eaten any
of
the
sacred
portion
while
in mourning, or
removed
any
of
it
while
unclean, or
offered
any
of
it
for the dead .
I have obeyed
the LORD
my God; I have done everything
You
commanded me.
I have not eaten thereof
in my
mourning, neither
have
I
put
away
thereof,
being
unclean, nor
given
thereof
for the dead :
I have hearkened
to
the voice
of
Jehovah
my God; I have done according
to
all
that
thou
hast
commanded me.
Look down from Your
holy habitation, from heaven, and bless Your
people Israel and the land
You
have
given us as You
swore
to
our fathers —
a land flowing with milk and honey. ”
Look down from thy
holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy
people Israel ,
and the ground
which
thou
hast
given us ,
as thou
swarest
unto
our fathers ,
a land flowing with milk and honey.
The
LORD
your
God
commands
you
this day to follow
these statutes and ordinances .
You
must
be
careful
to
follow
them with all your
heart and with all your
soul.
This day Jehovah
thy
God
commandeth
thee
to do
these statutes and ordinances :
thou
shalt
therefore
keep
and
do
them with all thy
heart ,
and with all thy
soul.
Today
you
have
proclaimed
that
the
LORD
is
your
God and that you
will
walk in His ways, keep His statutes and commandments and ordinances, and listen
to
His voice .
Thou
hast
avouched
Jehovah
this
day
to
be
thy
God ,
and that thou
wouldest
walk in his ways, and
keep his statutes ,
and his
commandments ,
and his
ordinances, and hearken
unto
his voice :
And today
the
LORD
has
proclaimed
that
you
are
His
people and
treasured
possession as He promised, that you
are
to
keep all His commandments ,
and Jehovah
hath
avouched
thee
this
day
to
be
a
people for
his
own
possession ,
as he hath
promised thee
, and
that thou
shouldest
keep all his commandments ;
that He will
set
you
high
in praise and name and honor above
all
the
nations
He
has
made,
and that you
will
be a holy people to
the
LORD
your
God, as He has
promised
.
and
to
make
thee
high
above
all
nations
that he hath
made,
in praise ,
and in
name ,
and in
honor ;
and that thou
mayest
be a holy people unto
Jehovah
thy
God, as he hath
spoken
.
