If
you
see your
brother’s
ox or sheep straying
, you
must
not
ignore
it;
be
sure
to
return
it
to
your
brother.
Thou
shalt
not
see thy
brother's
ox or his
sheep go
astray
, and
hide
thyself
from
them:
thou
shalt
surely
bring
them
again
unto
thy
brother.
If your
brother does
not live
near
you
, or if you
do
not
know who
he
is
, you
are
to
take
the
animal
home to remain
with you
until your
brother comes
seeking
it ;
then
you
can
return
it to him.
And
if thy
brother be
not nigh
unto
thee
, or if thou
know him
not
, then
thou
shalt
bring
it
home to thy
house,
and
it
shall
be
with thee
until thy
brother seek
after
it ,
and
thou
shalt
restore
it to him.
And you
shall
do the
same
for
his donkey,
his cloak
, or
anything
your
brother
has
lost and you
have
found .
You
must
not ignore
it
.
And so
shalt
thou
do with
his ass;
and
so
shalt
thou
do
with
his garment;
and
so
shalt
thou
do
with
every
lost
thing
of
thy
brother's
, which
he
hath
lost ,
and thou
hast
found :
thou
mayest
not hide
thyself
.
If
you
see your
brother’s
donkey
or ox fallen on
the road
, you
must
not
ignore
it;
you
must
help him lift it
up.
Thou
shalt
not
see thy
brother's
ass
or his
ox fallen down
by
the way
, and
hide
thyself
from
them:
thou
shalt
surely
help him to
lift them
up again
.
A woman must
not wear men’s
clothing,
and
a man must
not
wear
women’s
clothing
, for whoever
does
these things is detestable
to
the
LORD
your
God.
A woman shall
not wear that
which
pertaineth
unto
a man, neither
shall
a
man
put
on
a
woman's
garment;
for whosoever
doeth
these things is an
abomination
unto
Jehovah
thy
God.
If you
come
across
a bird’s
nest with
chicks
or
eggs
, either
in a
tree or on the ground along
the
road
, and the mother
is
sitting on
the chicks
or eggs, you
must
not take the mother
along
with the young .
If a bird's
nest chance
to
be
before
thee
in
the
way
, in any
tree or on the ground, with
young
ones
or
eggs,
and the dam
sitting upon
the young,
or upon
the
eggs, thou
shalt
not take the dam
with the young :
You
may
take
the
young,
but
be
sure
to
let the mother
go, so
that it may be well with you
and that you
may
prolong your
days.
thou
shalt
surely
let the dam
go, but
the
young
thou
mayest
take
unto
thyself;
that it may be well with thee,
and that thou
mayest
prolong thy
days.
If
you
build
a new house, you
are
to
construct
a railing
around
your
roof, so
that you
do
not
bring bloodguilt
on
your
house if someone
falls
from it
.
When
thou
buildest
a new house, then
thou
shalt
make
a battlement
for
thy
roof, that thou
bring not
blood
upon
thy
house ,
if any
man
fall
from thence
.
Do
not plant
your
vineyard with two types
of seed ;
if
you
do
, the entire
harvest
will
be defiled
—both
the crop
you
plant
and the fruit
of your
vineyard.
Thou
shalt
not sow
thy
vineyard with two kinds
of seed, lest
the whole
fruit
be forfeited,
the seed
which
thou
hast
sown,
and the increase
of the
vineyard.
Do
not plow with an ox and a
donkey
yoked
together.
Thou
shalt
not plow with an ox and an
ass
together.
Do
not wear clothes
of
wool and linen woven
together.
Thou
shalt
not wear a
mingled
stuff,
wool and linen together.
You
are
to
make tassels
on
the four corners
of the
cloak
you
wear
.
Thou
shalt
make thee
fringes
upon
the four borders
of thy
vesture,
wherewith
thou
coverest
thyself
.
Suppose
a
man marries
a woman
, has
relations
with
her, and comes
to
hate her,
If
any
man take
a wife
, and
go
in
unto
her, and hate her,
and he
then
accuses
her
of
shameful conduct
and
gives
her a
bad
name, saying
, “
I married
this woman and had
relations
with
her, but
I discovered
she
was
not a
virgin.”
and lay
shameful things
to
her charge,
and
bring
up
an
evil
name upon
her
, and
say
, I took
this woman ,
and when
I
came
nigh
to
her, I found
not in
her
the
tokens
of
virginity;
Then the young
woman’s
father and mother shall
bring the proof
of her
virginity to
the city
elders at
the gate
then shall
the father of
the
damsel,
and her
mother ,
take
and
bring forth
the tokens
of the
damsel's
virginity unto
the elders of
the city
in
the
gate ;
and say to
the elders, “
I gave my daughter in
marriage
to
this man, but
he has
come
to
hate
her .
and the
damsel's
father
shall
say unto
the elders, I gave my daughter unto
this man to
wife
, and
he hateth
her ;
And now
he has
accused
her
of
shameful conduct
, saying, ‘
I discovered
that
your
daughter
was
not a
virgin.’
But
here
is
the proof
of her
virginity. ”
And they shall spread out
the cloth
before the city
elders.
and ,
lo,
he hath
laid
shameful things
`to
her
charge'
, saying, I found
not in
thy
daughter
the tokens
of virginity ;
and
yet
these
are
the
tokens
of
my
daughter's
virginity
. And they shall spread the garment
before the elders of
the
city
.
Then
the elders of that city shall take the man and punish
him .
And
the elders of that city shall take the man and chastise
him ;
They are
also
to
fine him a hundred shekels of silver and give them to
the young
woman’s
father, because this
man
has
given
a virgin of Israel a
bad
name.
And she shall remain
his wife; he must
not divorce
her as
long
as
he
lives
.
and
they shall
fine him a hundred `
shekels '
of silver ,
and give them unto
the father of
the
damsel
, because he
hath
brought
up
an
evil
name
upon
a virgin of Israel :
and she shall be
his wife; he may
not put
her away
all
his
days
.
If ,
however,
this accusation
is
true, and
no
proof
of
the young
woman’s
virginity can
be
found ,
But
if this thing
be
true, that
the tokens
of
virginity were
not
found in
the
damsel;
she
shall be
brought
to the door of her father’s
house, and there
the men of her city will
stone her to death .
For
she has
committed
an
outrage
in Israel by
being
promiscuous
in her father’s
house .
So you
must
purge
the evil from among
you
.
then
they
shall bring
out
the
damsel
to the door of her father's
house, and the men of her city shall
stone her to death with
stones,
because
she hath
wrought
folly
in Israel ,
to
play
the
harlot
in her father's
house :
so shalt
thou
put
away
the evil from the
midst
of
thee
.
If a man is
found lying with another
man’s
wife
, both the man who
slept
with her
and the woman must
die.
You
must
purge
the evil from Israel.
If a man be
found lying with a
woman
married
to
a
husband
, then
they
shall
both of
them
die,
the man that
lay
with the
woman,
and the woman :
so
shalt
thou
put
away
the evil from Israel.
If there is a virgin pledged
in
marriage
to
a man
, and another
man encounters
her in the city and sleeps
with her ,
If there be
a
damsel
that
is a virgin betrothed
unto
a husband
, and a
man find
her in the city ,
and lie
with her ;
you
must
take
both
of
them out to
the gate of that city and stone them to death —
the young
woman
because she did
not cry
out
in the city ,
and the man because he has
violated
his neighbor’s
wife .
So you
must
purge
the evil from among
you
.
then
ye
shall
bring
them both
out unto
the gate of that city ,
and ye
shall
stone them to death with
stones;
the damsel,
because she cried
not ,
being
in the city ;
and the man ,
because he hath
humbled
his neighbor's
wife :
so thou
shalt
put
away
the evil from the
midst
of
thee
.
But if the man encounters
a
betrothed woman
in the open
country
, and he
overpowers
her and lies
with her ,
only
the man who
has
done
this
must
die .
But if the man find
the
damsel
that
is
betrothed in the field
, and the
man
force
her ,
and lie
with her ;
then
the man only
that
lay
with
her
shall
die :
Do nothing to
the young
woman,
because
she
has
committed
no sin worthy of death .
This
case
is
just
like
one
in
which
a man attacks
his neighbor and murders
him .
but
unto
the
damsel
thou
shalt
do nothing ;
there
is
in
the damsel
no sin worthy of death :
for
as
when
a man riseth
against
his neighbor ,
and slayeth
him ,
even
so
is
this
matter;
When
he found her in the field, the betrothed woman
cried out
, but
there was no
one
to save her.
for
he found her in the field, the betrothed damsel
cried, and
there was none
to save her.
If a man encounters
a virgin who
is not pledged
in
marriage
, and he
seizes
her and lies
with her, and they are
discovered,
If a man find
a damsel
that
is
a
virgin ,
that
is not betrothed
, and lay
hold
on
her ,
and lie
with her, and they be
found;
then the man who
lay with her must
pay
the young
woman’s
father fifty shekels of silver, and she must
become
his wife because he has
violated
her .
He must
not divorce
her as
long
as
he
lives
.
then the man that
lay with her shall
give
unto
the damsel's
father fifty `
shekels '
of silver, and she shall
be
his wife ,
because he hath
humbled
her ;
he may
not put
her away
all
his
days
.
A man is
not to
marry
his father’s
wife, so
that
he
will
not dishonor
his father’s
marriage
bed
.
A man shall
not take
his father's
wife, and
shall
not uncover
his father's
skirt
.
