At that time the
LORD
said to
me, “Chisel
out
two stone tablets
like the originals
, come up to
Me on
the mountain
, and make an ark of wood.
At that time Jehovah
said unto
me, Hew
thee
two tables
of
stone like unto
the first
, and
come up unto
me into
the mount
, and make thee
an ark of wood.
And I will write on the tablets
the words that were on the first tablets,
which you
broke;
and you
are
to
place
them in the ark. ”
And I will write on the tables
the words that were on the first tables
which thou
brakest,
and thou
shalt
put
them in the ark.
So I made an ark of acacia wood, chiseled
out
two stone tablets
like the originals
, and went up the mountain
with
the two tablets
in my hands
.
So I made an ark of acacia wood, and
hewed
two tables
of
stone like unto
the first
, and went up into
the mount,
having
the two tables
in my hand
.
And the
LORD
wrote on the tablets
what
had
been
written
previously
, the Ten Commandments that
He
had
spoken
to
you on
the mountain
out of the fire on
the day of the assembly .
The
LORD
gave them to
me ,
And he
wrote on the tables
, according
to
the first
writing,
the
ten commandments ,
which
Jehovah
spake
unto
you in
the mount
out of the midst
of
the
fire in
the day of the assembly :
and
Jehovah
gave them unto
me .
and I went
back
down the mountain
and placed
the tablets
in the ark I had made ,
as
the
LORD
had
commanded
me
; and there they have
remained
.
And I turned
and
came
down from
the mount,
and put
the tables
in the ark which
I had made; and there they are
as
Jehovah
commanded
me
.
The Israelites
traveled
from Beeroth Bene-jaakan to Moserah ,
where
Aaron died and was buried ,
and Eleazar his son succeeded
him
as
priest
.
(And
the children
of
Israel
journeyed
from Beeroth Bene-jaakan to Moserah .
There
Aaron died ,
and there
he
was buried ;
and Eleazar his son ministered
in
the
priest's
office
in
his
stead
.
From there
they traveled
to
Gudgodah ,
and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land with
streams
of water.
From thence
they journeyed
unto
Gudgodah ;
and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks
of
water.
At that time the
LORD
set apart the tribe of Levi to carry
the ark of the covenant of the
LORD
, to stand before the
LORD
to serve
Him, and to pronounce
blessings
in His name, as
they
do
to
this day.
At that time Jehovah
set apart the tribe of Levi ,
to bear
the ark of the covenant of Jehovah
, to stand before Jehovah
to minister
unto
him, and to bless
in his name, unto
this day.
That
is
why
Levi has
no portion or
inheritance among
his brothers
; the
LORD
is his inheritance, as the
LORD
your
God promised
him.
Wherefore
Levi hath
no portion nor
inheritance with
his brethren
; Jehovah
is his inheritance, according
as Jehovah
thy
God spake
unto
him. )
I stayed on
the mountain
forty
days
and
forty
nights
, like
the first time, and that time the
LORD
again
listened
to
me
and
agreed
not to
destroy you
.
And
I stayed in
the mount
, as
at
the first time, forty
days
and forty
nights:
and
Jehovah
hearkened
unto
me
that time also;
Jehovah
would
not destroy thee
.
Then
the
LORD
said to
me, “Get
up.
Continue
your
journey ahead
of
the people ,
that
they may
enter
and possess the land that
I swore
to
their fathers to give them. ”
And
Jehovah
said unto
me, Arise,
take
thy
journey before
the people ;
and
they shall
go
in
and possess the land ,
which
I sware
unto
their fathers to give unto
them.
And now, O
Israel, what does
the
LORD
your
God ask
of you
but to fear the
LORD
your
God by
walking
in all His ways, to love Him, to serve the
LORD
your
God with all your
heart and with all your
soul,
And now, Israel, what doth
Jehovah
thy
God require
of thee,
but to fear Jehovah
thy
God ,
to
walk
in all his ways, and
to love him, and
to serve Jehovah
thy
God with all thy
heart and with all thy
soul,
and
to keep the commandments and statutes of
the
LORD
that
I am
giving
you
this day for your
own
good?
to keep the commandments of
Jehovah,
and his
statutes ,
which
I command
thee
this day for thy
good?
Behold, to
the
LORD
your
God belong
the
heavens,
even
the highest
heavens, and
the earth and
everything
in
it
.
Behold, unto
Jehovah
thy
God belongeth
heaven
and
the heaven
of
heavens, the earth ,
with
all
that
is
therein
.
Yet
the
LORD
has
set
His
affection
on
your
fathers and
loved
them .
And He has
chosen
you,
their descendants
after them, above all the
peoples, even
to
this day.
Only
Jehovah
had
a
delight
in
thy
fathers to
love
them ,
and he chose
their seed
after them, even
you
above all peoples, as
at
this day.
Circumcise your
hearts,
therefore, and stiffen
your
necks
no more.
Circumcise therefore the
foreskin
of
your
heart
, and be
no more stiffnecked
.
For the
LORD
your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, mighty, and awesome
God
, showing
no
partiality
and
accepting
no
bribe
.
For Jehovah
your God ,
he
is God of gods ,
and Lord of lords, the great God
, the
mighty, and the
terrible
, who
regardeth
not
persons,
nor
taketh
reward
.
He executes
justice for the fatherless and widow, and He
loves
the foreigner
, giving him food and clothing
.
He doth
execute
justice for the fatherless and widow, and loveth
the sojourner
, in
giving him food and raiment
.
So
you
also
must
love the foreigner,
since
you
yourselves
were foreigners
in the land of Egypt.
Love ye
therefore
the sojourner;
for
ye
were sojourners
in the land of Egypt.
You
are
to
fear the
LORD
your
God and
serve
Him .
Hold
fast
to Him and take
your
oaths
in
His name.
Thou
shalt
fear Jehovah
thy
God ;
him shalt
thou
serve;
and
to him shalt
thou
cleave,
and by
his name shalt
thou
swear
.
He is your
praise and He is your
God, who
has
done for you
these great and awesome
wonders
that
your
eyes have seen.
He is thy
praise ,
and he is thy
God, that
hath
done for thee
these great and terrible
things,
which
thine
eyes have seen.
Your
fathers went down to
Egypt ,
seventy
in
all,
and now the
LORD
your
God has
made you
as
numerous
as the stars in
the
sky
.
Thy
fathers went down into
Egypt with
threescore
and ten
persons;
and
now Jehovah
thy
God hath
made thee
as the stars of
heaven
for
multitude
.
