I charge thee
therefore before God ,
and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall
judge the quick
and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom ;
I charge you
therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will
judge the living
and the dead at his appearing and his Kingdom :
Preach the word; be instant
in season ,
out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering
and doctrine
.
preach the word; be urgent
in season and
out of season; reprove, rebuke, and
exhort ,
with all patience
and teaching
.
For the time will come when they will not endure
sound doctrine ;
but after
their
own
lusts
shall
they
heap
to
themselves
teachers
, having itching ears;
For the time will come when they will not listen
to
the
sound doctrine ,
but, having itching ears ,
will
heap
up
for
themselves
teachers
after
their
own
lusts
;
And they
shall
turn away their ears from the truth, and shall
be
turned
unto
fables.
and will
turn away their ears from the truth, and turn
aside
to
fables.
But watch
thou
in all things, endure
afflictions
, do the work of an evangelist, make
full
proof
of
thy
ministry.
But you
be
sober
in all things, suffer
hardship
, do the work of an evangelist, and
fulfill
your
ministry.
For I am now
ready
to
be
offered, and the time of my departure is
at
hand
.
For I am already
being
offered, and the time of my departure has
come
.
I have fought a
good fight ,
I have finished my
course ,
I have kept the faith :
I have fought the
good fight .
I have finished the
course .
I have kept the faith .
Henceforth
there is laid
up for me a
crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall
give me at
that day :
and not to me only, but unto
all
them
also that
love
his appearing.
From
now
on,
there is stored
up for me the
crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will
give to
me on
that day ;
and not to me only, but also to
all
those
who
have
loved
his appearing.
Do
thy
diligence
to come shortly
unto
me :
Be
diligent
to come to
me soon,
For Demas hath
forsaken
me, having loved this present world, and is
departed
unto
Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto
Dalmatia.
for Demas left
me, having loved this present world, and went
to
Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, and
Titus to
Dalmatia.
Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee:
for he is profitable
to me for the
ministry
.
Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with you,
for he is useful
to me for ministering
.
And
Tychicus
have
I sent to Ephesus.
But
I sent Tychicus
to Ephesus.
The cloke
that I left at Troas with Carpus ,
when thou
comest,
bring
with
thee
, and the books, but
especially the parchments.
Bring
the cloak
that I left at Troas with Carpus when you
come
, and the books, especially the parchments.
Alexander the coppersmith did me
much evil :
the Lord reward
him according to his works :
Alexander ,
the coppersmith ,
did much evil to
me.
The Lord will
repay
him according to his works ,
Of whom be
thou
ware
also; for he hath
greatly withstood
our words.
of whom you
also must
beware
; for he greatly opposed
our words.
At my first answer
no man
stood
with
me, but all men
forsook
me :
I
pray
God
that
it
may not be laid
to
their
charge
.
At my first defense,
no one
came
to
help
me, but all left
me .
May it
not be held
against
them
.
Notwithstanding
the Lord stood with
me, and strengthened me ;
that by
me the preaching
might be fully known
, and that all the Gentiles might hear :
and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
But
the Lord stood by
me, and strengthened me ,
that through
me the message
might be fully proclaimed
, and that all the Gentiles might hear ;
and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
And the Lord shall
deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto
his heavenly kingdom :
to whom be glory for
ever
and ever. Amen.
And the Lord will
deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for
his heavenly Kingdom ;
to whom be the
glory forever
and ever. Amen.
Salute
Prisca and Aquila, and the household
of Onesiphorus.
Greet
Prisca and Aquila, and the house
of Onesiphorus.
Erastus abode
at Corinth :
but Trophimus
have
I left at Miletum
sick.
Erastus remained
at Corinth ,
but I left Trophimus
at Miletus
sick.
Do
thy
diligence
to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth
thee
, and
Pudens, and
Linus, and
Claudia, and all the brethren
.
Be
diligent
to come before winter. Eubulus salutes
you
, as
do
Pudens, Linus, Claudia, and all the brothers
.
The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy
spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
The Lord Jesus Christ be with your
spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
