to stedfast
men, who shall be sufficient

others
to teach ;
Thou therefore endure
hardness
, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ .

therefore, suffer
evil
as a good soldier of Jesus Christ ;
No man
that
warreth
entangleth
himself with the affairs of this
life ;
that he
may
please
him who hath
chosen
him to
be
a
soldier.

enlist
him he
may
please;
And if a
man
also strive for
masteries
, yet
is
he not crowned, except he strive lawfully .

first partaker

Of
these things put
them in
remembrance
, charging
them
before the Lord that
they
strive
not about words to no
profit
, but to the subverting
of the
hearers.
These things remind

, testifying
fully
before the Lord --
not to
strive
about words to nothing
profitable
, but to the subversion
of those
hearing;
Study
to shew
thyself approved unto
God ,
a workman that
needeth
not
to
be
ashamed
, rightly dividing the word of truth .

diligent
to present
thyself approved to
God --
a workman irreproachable

But
shun
profane
and vain babblings:
for they will increase
unto
more
ungodliness.

stand
aloof

they will advance,

eat

a canker:
of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus ;
and their word as a gangrene
will
have
pasture,

erred

and overthrow the faith of some .

Flee

servant of the Lord must
not strive ;
but be gentle unto all men
, apt to teach, patient,

servant of the Lord it
behoveth

strive ,

be gentle unto all, apt to teach, patient under
evil

In meekness instructing those that
oppose
themselves;
if God peradventure
will
give them repentance to the
acknowledging of the truth ;
in meekness instructing those opposing
--
if perhaps
God may
give to
them repentance to an
acknowledging of the truth ,
And that
they may recover
themselves
out of the snare of
the
devil
, who
are
taken
captive
by him at his will.
and they may awake
out of the devil's
snare, having
been
caught
by him at his will.
