Young's Literal Translation

King James Version
And
concerning
the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need of
my
writing
to
you ,
But
of
the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that
I
write
unto
you .
for yourselves have
known
thoroughly
that the day of the Lord as a thief in the night doth
so
come,
For yourselves know
perfectly
that the day of the Lord so
cometh
as a thief in the night .
for when they may
say, Peace and surety,
then sudden destruction doth
stand
by
them, as the
travail `doth'
her
who
is
with child ,
and they shall not escape ;
For when they shall
say, Peace and safety;
then sudden destruction cometh
upon
them, as travail upon
a
woman
with child ;
and they shall not escape .
and
ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that the
day may
catch
you as a thief ;
But
ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that
day should
overtake
you as a thief .
all
ye are sons
of light, and sons
of day ;
we are not of night, nor of darkness ,
Ye are all
the
children
of light, and the
children
of the
day :
we are not of the
night, nor of darkness .
so,
then,
we
may
not sleep as also
the
others ,
but watch and be sober ,
Therefore
let
us
not sleep ,
as do
others ;
but let
us
watch and be sober .
for those
sleeping,
by
night
do
sleep ,
and
those
making
themselves
drunk,
by
night are drunken ,
For they
that
sleep sleep
in
the
night ;
and
they
that
be
drunken
are drunken in
the
night.
and
we
, being
of the day --
let
us
be sober, putting on a
breastplate of faith and love ,
and an helmet --
a
hope of salvation ,
But
let
us
, who
are
of the day ,
be sober, putting on the
breastplate of faith and love ;
and for
an helmet ,
the
hope of salvation .
because
God did
not appoint
us to anger
, but to the
acquiring
of
salvation through
our Lord Jesus Christ,
For
God hath
not appointed
us to wrath
, but to obtain
salvation by
our Lord Jesus Christ,
who did
die
for us, that whether we wake --
whether
we
sleep --
together with him we
may
live;
Who died
for us, that ,
whether we wake or
sleep ,
we
should
live
together with him .
wherefore ,
comfort ye
one
another
, and build
ye
up,
one
the
one, as also ye do.
Wherefore comfort yourselves
together
, and edify
one another
, even
as also ye do.
And we ask
you, brethren, to know those
labouring
among you, and leading
you in the Lord, and admonishing
you ,
And we beseech
you, brethren, to know them
which
labour
among you, and are
over
you in the Lord, and admonish
you ;
and to esteem them very abundantly
in love ,
because
of
their work;
be at peace among yourselves ;
And to esteem them very highly
in love for
their work's
sake.
And
be at peace among yourselves .
and
we exhort you, brethren, admonish
the
disorderly
, comfort the feeble-minded
, support the infirm
, be patient unto
all ;
Now
we exhort you, brethren, warn
them
that
are
unruly
, comfort the feebleminded
, support the weak
, be patient toward
all men.
see no
one
evil for evil may
render
to
any one,
but always
that which is good pursue
ye
, both to
one
another
and to all ;
See that
none
render
evil for evil unto
any man;
but ever
follow
that which is good, both among
yourselves,
and to all men.
always
rejoice ye;
Rejoice evermore.
continually
pray ye;
Pray without
ceasing.
in every thing give thanks ,
for this `
is '
the will of God in Christ Jesus in
regard
to
you.
In every thing give thanks :
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning
you.
The
Spirit
quench not ;
Quench not the
Spirit.
prophesyings
despise not ;
Despise not prophesyings.
all things prove
; that which is good hold
fast;
Prove
all things; hold
fast
that which is good .
from all appearance of evil abstain
ye;
Abstain
from all appearance of evil .
and the God of the
peace Himself
sanctify you wholly ,
and may
your whole spirit ,
and soul ,
and body ,
be preserved unblameably
in
the presence
of our Lord Jesus Christ ;
And the very
God of peace sanctify you wholly ;
and I
pray
God
your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless
unto
the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ .
stedfast
is He who
is
calling
you, who also will do `
it '
.
Faithful
is he that
calleth
you, who also will do it.
Brethren, pray for us ;
Brethren, pray for us .
salute
all the brethren in
an holy kiss ;
Greet
all the brethren with
an holy kiss .
I charge you `
by '
the Lord ,
that the
letter
be read to
all the holy brethren ;
I charge you by the Lord that this
epistle
be read unto
all the holy brethren .
the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ `is'
with you !
Amen.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be
with you .
Amen.
