Finally then
, brethren
, we beseech
and exhort
you in the Lord Jesus ,
that, as ye
received of
us how ye
ought
to
walk
and
to
please
God
, even
as
ye
do walk,
--that
ye
abound
more
and
more.
Finally, brothers
, we ask
and encourage
you in the Lord Jesus to
live
in
a
way
that is
pleasing
to
God
, just
as you
have
received from
us .
This
is
how you
already
live
, so
you
should
do so
all
the
more.
For ye
know what
charge
we gave you through
the Lord Jesus.
For you
know the
instructions
we gave you by
the authority
of
the
Lord Jesus.
For this
is the
will of
God,
`even'
your
sanctification,
that ye
abstain from fornication
;
For it
is God’s
will that you
should
be
holy:
You
must
abstain from sexual
immorality
;
that
each one
of you know how to possess
himself
of
his own vessel
in sanctification
and honor,
each of you must
know how to control
his own body
in holiness
and honor,
not in the
passion of
lust,
even
as
the Gentiles who know
not God;
not in lustful
passion like
the Gentiles who do
not know
God;
that
no
man
transgress,
and wrong
his brother in the
matter:
because the Lord is
an
avenger
in
all these
things
, as also
we forewarned
you and testified
.
and no
one
should
ever
violate
or
exploit
his brother in this
regard,
because the Lord will
avenge
all such
acts
, as we have
already
told
you and solemnly
warned
you
.
For God called us not
for
uncleanness
, but in
sanctification
.
For God has
not
called us to
impurity
, but to
holiness
.
Therefore
he
that
rejecteth
, rejecteth
not man ,
but God, who giveth
his Holy Spirit unto
you
.
Anyone
, then,
who
rejects
this
command
does
not reject
man but God, the
very
One
who gives
you
His Holy Spirit.
But
concerning
love of
the
brethren
ye
have
no
need that
one
write unto
you :
for
ye
yourselves are
taught of
God to love one another ;
Now
about
brotherly
love ,
you
do
not
need anyone
to
write to
you ,
because
you
yourselves have
been
taught by
God to love one another .
for
indeed ye
do
it
toward
all the brethren
that
are
in
all
Macedonia. But we exhort
you, brethren
, that
ye
abound
more and more ;
And
you
are
indeed showing
this
love
to
all the brothers
throughout
Macedonia. But we urge
you, brothers
, to
excel
more and more
and that
ye
study
to be
quiet
, and
to do
your own business
, and to work with your hands, even
as we charged
you ;
and to aspire
to
live
quietly
, to attend
to
your own matters
, and to work with your own
hands, as we instructed
you .
that
ye
may
walk
becomingly
toward them
that
are
without
, and
may
have
need
of
nothing
.
Then
you
will
behave
properly
toward outsiders
, without
being
dependent
on
anyone
.
But
we would
not have
you ignorant,
brethren
, concerning
them
that
fall
asleep;
that ye
sorrow
not ,
even
as
the rest, who have
no
hope.
Brothers,
we do
not want
you to
be
uninformed
about
those
who
sleep
in
death
, so
that you
will
not grieve
like
the rest, who are
without
hope.
For if
we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even
so
them
also that are
fallen
asleep
in
Jesus
will
God bring with him.
For since
we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we
also believe
that God will
bring with Jesus
those
who
have
fallen
asleep
in
Him.
For
this
we
say
unto
you
by the word of the Lord, that
we that are alive ,
that
are
left
unto
the coming of the Lord ,
shall
in
no wise
precede them
that
are
fallen asleep.
By the word of the Lord, we declare
to
you
that we
who
are alive and
remain
until
the coming of the Lord will
by
no means
precede those
who
have
fallen asleep.
For the Lord himself shall
descend from heaven ,
with a shout
, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trump
of God :
and the dead in Christ shall
rise
first ;
For the Lord Himself will
descend from heaven with a loud
command
, with the voice of an
archangel, and with the trumpet
of God ,
and the dead in Christ will
be
the
first to
rise.
then
we
that are
alive
, that
are left,
shall
together
with
them
be caught up in the clouds ,
to meet the Lord in the air :
and so shall
we ever
be with the Lord.
After
that, we
who
are alive
and
remain
will
be caught up together
with
them
in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air .
And so we will
always
be with the Lord.
Wherefore
comfort
one another with these words.
Therefore
encourage
one another with these words.
