If
any of you has
a grievance
against another
, how
dare
he
go to law before the unrighteous instead
of
before the saints !
Dare
any of you ,
having
a matter
against his
neighbor
, go to law before the unrighteous ,
and
not
before the saints ?
Do
you
not
know that the saints will
judge the world? And if you
are
to
judge
the world, are you
not
competent
to judge trivial
cases
?
Or
know ye
not
that the saints shall
judge the world? and if the world is
judged
by
you
, are ye
unworthy
to judge the
smallest
matters
?
Do
you
not
know that we will
judge angels? How much more the
things of
this life !
Know ye
not
that we shall
judge angels? how much more ,
things that
pertain
to
this life ?
So
if you
need
to settle
everyday
matters
, do you
appoint
as
judges
those
of no standing
in the church?
If then
ye
have
to judge
things
pertaining
to
this
life
, do ye
set
them
to
judge
who
are
of no account
in the church?
I say this to your
shame. Is
there really
no
one
among you wise enough
to arbitrate
between his brothers?
I say `
this '
to move
you
to
shame. What,
cannot
there be
`found'
among you one
wise man
who
shall
be
able
to decide
between his brethren,
Instead,
one
brother goes
to law against
another
, and this
in
front
of
unbelievers !
but
brother goeth
to law with
brother
, and that
before
unbelievers ?
The
very
fact
that
you have lawsuits among
you
means
that
you
are
thoroughly
defeated
already
. Why not rather be
wronged
? Why not rather be cheated
?
Nay,
already
it
is
altogether
a
defect
in
you ,
that
ye
have lawsuits one
with
another
. Why not rather take
wrong
? why not rather be defrauded
?
Instead
, you
yourselves cheat
and
do wrong, even
against
your own
brothers!
Nay
, but
ye
yourselves do wrong, and
defraud,
and
that
`
your '
brethren.
Do
you
not
know that the wicked
will
not inherit the kingdom of God? Do
not
be deceived: Neither the
sexually
immoral
, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who
submit
to
or
perform
homosexual
acts
,
Or
know ye
not
that the unrighteous
shall
not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not
deceived: neither fornicators
, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate,
nor
abusers
of
themselves
with
men,
nor thieves, nor the
greedy
, nor drunkards, nor verbal
abusers
, nor swindlers
, will
inherit the kingdom of God.
nor thieves, nor covetous
, nor drunkards, nor revilers
, nor extortioners
, shall
inherit the kingdom of God.
And that
is
what
some of you were.
But you
were washed, you
were sanctified, you
were justified ,
in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by
the Spirit of our God.
And such
were
some of you :
but ye
were washed, but
ye
were sanctified, but
ye
were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ ,
and in
the Spirit of our God.
“Everything
is
permissible
for me ,”
but not everything
is
beneficial
. “Everything
is
permissible
for me ,”
but I will not be mastered
by
anything
.
All
things
are
lawful
for me ;
but not all
things
are
expedient
. All
things
are
lawful
for me ;
but I will not be brought
under
the
power
of
any
.
“Food
for the stomach
and the stomach
for food,”
but God will
destroy
them
both. The body is not intended
for sexual
immorality
, but for the Lord ,
and the Lord for the body .
Meats
for the belly,
and the belly
for meats:
but God shall
bring
to
nought
both it
and
them
. But
the body is not for fornication
, but for the Lord ;
and the Lord for the body :
By
His
power
God raised the Lord from
the
dead
, and He
will raise us
also
.
and
God both
raised the Lord, and will raise up
as
through
his
power
.
Do
you
not
know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite
them with
a prostitute
? Never!
Know ye
not
that your bodies are members of Christ? shall I then take away
the members of Christ ,
and make
them members
of
a harlot
? God
forbid.
Or don’t
you
know that he who
unites
himself
with
a prostitute
is one with
her
in
body? For it
is
said
, “
The two
will
become one flesh. ”
Or know ye
not
that he that
is
joined
to
a harlot
is one body? for, The twain,
saith
he,
shall
become one flesh.
But he who
unites
himself
with
the Lord is one with
Him
in
spirit.
But he that
is
joined
unto
the Lord is one spirit.
Flee from
sexual
immorality
. Every other
sin a man can
commit
is outside
his
body ,
but he who
sins
sexually
sins
against his own body.
Flee fornication
. Every sin that
a man doeth
is without
the
body ;
but he that
committeth
fornication
sinneth
against his own body.
Do
you
not
know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who
is in you, whom
you
have received
from God? You
are not your own;
Or
know ye
not
that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which
is in you, which
ye
have from God? and
ye
are not your own;
you
were bought at
a price .
Therefore
glorify God with
your body.
for
ye
were bought with
a price :
glorify God therefore
in
your body.
