Now
I would not have
you
ignorant, brothers,
that our fathers were all
under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
Moreover,
brethren,
I would not that
ye
should
be
ignorant, how
that all

and were all baptized into
Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
And were all baptized unto
Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
and all ate
the same spiritual food
;
And did
all eat
the same spiritual meat
;
and all drank
the same spiritual drink .
For they drank of a
spiritual rock that followed them ,
and the
rock was Christ.
And did

However
with most
of them ,
God was not well pleased ,
for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

written for our admonition, on

let him who
thinks

stands
be
careful
that he doesn't
fall.

let him that thinketh

heed

but will with the temptation also make the
way of
escape, that you
may be able to endure
it.

no temptation taken you but

is common to man :

Therefore
, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
Wherefore

I speak as to wise men .

The cup of blessing which we bless, isn't
it a
communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, isn't
it a
communion of the body of Christ?

we ,
who
are
many ,
are one bread, one body ;
for we all partake

Consider
Israel after the flesh .
Don't
those
who
eat the sacrifices have
communion
with
the altar?
Behold
Israel after the flesh :
are
not
they
which
eat of
the sacrifices partakers
of
the altar?
What am
I saying
then? That a
thing
sacrificed
to
idols
is anything
, or that an
idol
is anything
?
What say
I then? that the
idol
is any
thing
, or that which
is offered
in
sacrifice
to
idols
is
any
thing
?
But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons
, and not to God ,
and I don't
desire
that
you
would have communion
with demons
.
But I say ,
that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils
, and not to God :
and I would not
that
ye
should
have fellowship
with devils
.
You
can't
both
drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons.
You
can't
both
partake
of the table of
the
Lord
, and of the table of demons
.
Ye
cannot
drink the cup of the Lord ,
and the cup of devils:
ye
cannot
be
partakers
of the Lord's
table, and of the table of devils
.
Or
do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?
Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

All things are lawful for me, "
but not
all things are profitable.

seek his own, but each

Whatsoever
is sold in the shambles

if one
of those
who
don't
believe invites
you to a meal
, and you
are
inclined
to go ,
eat
whatever
is set before you, asking no questions

sake
of
conscience.

of them
that
believe not
bid
you to a feast
, and ye
be
disposed
to go ;
whatsoever
is set before you, eat,
asking no question
for conscience sake
.
But if anyone
says
to
you, "
This was
offered to
idols, "
don't
eat it
for the
sake of
the
one
who
told
you
, and for the
sake
of
conscience .
For "
the earth is the Lord's, and all
its
fullness."
But if any
man
say
unto
you, This is
offered in
sacrifice
unto
idols, eat not
for his
sake that
shewed
it
, and for conscience sake:
for the earth is the Lord's, and the
fulness
thereof:
Conscience, I say, not your
own, but the other's
conscience.
For why is my liberty judged by
another conscience?
Conscience, I say, not thine
own, but of
the other:
for why is my liberty judged of
another man's
conscience?
If I partake
with
thankfulness
, why am I denounced
for that for which I give thanks?
For
if I by
grace
be
a
partaker
, why am I evil
spoken
of
for that for which I give thanks?
Whether therefore you
eat, or drink, or whatever
you
do, do all to the glory of God.
Whether therefore ye
eat, or drink, or whatsoever
ye
do, do all to the glory of God.
Give no
occasions
for
stumbling
, either
to Jews, or
to Greeks
, or
to the assembly
of God ;
Give none
offence
, neither
to the
Jews, nor
to the
Gentiles
, nor
to the church
of God :
even as I also
please all men in all things, not seeking my
own profit, but the profit of the
many, that they may be saved.
