Now Hiram king of Tyre sent envoys to David, along with cedar logs , stonemasons , and carpenters, to build a palace for him .
David perceived that Yahweh had established him king over Israel ; for his kingdom was exalted on high, for his people Israel's sake .
And David realized that the LORD had established him as king over Israel and had highly exalted his kingdom for the sake of His people Israel .
David took more wives at Jerusalem ; and David became the father of more sons and daughters.
And David took more wives in Jerusalem and became the father of more sons and daughters.
These are the names of the children whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,

When the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David: and David heard of it, and went out against them.

So David and his men went up to Baal - perazim, where he defeated the Philistines and said, “Like a bursting flood, God has burst out against my enemies by my hand. So they called that place Baal - perazim.
They left their gods there; and David gave commandment , and they were burned with fire.
There the Philistines abandoned their gods, and David ordered that they be burned in the fire.
The Philistines yet again made a raid in the valley.
Once again the Philistines raided the valley.
David inquired again of God ; and God said to him, You shall not go up after them : turn away from them , and come on them over against the mulberry trees.
So David again inquired of God , who answered him, “Do not march up after them, but circle around them and attack them in front of the balsam trees.
It shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then you shall go out to battle ; for God is gone out before you to strike the host of the Philistines.
As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, move out to battle , because this will mean that God has marched out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.
David did as God commanded him : and they struck the host of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gezer.
So David did as God had commanded him , and they struck down the army of the Philistines all the way from Gibeon to Gezer.
The fame of David went out into all lands; and Yahweh brought the fear of him on all nations.
And David’s fame went out into every land, and the LORD caused all nations to fear him .
